ChooseIt! Maker 3 (CM3) continues to rank high among my tech tools. Inclusive Technology, the British parent company of HelpKidzLearn, was also recognized this year with the 2016 Queen’s Award for Business Enterprise. Gotta love it when special ed tech developers are at the top! This software is designed especially for students with severe and profound needs, including those who require assistive technology to communicate.
Here are some cool features not mentioned in my original post on ChooseIt! Maker 3. (I am sure you will want to check out that post again!)
Add your own reward sounds. I have a student who thinks passing gas makes a terrific reward sound; he also loves to hear me say, “Good thinking! You got it right!” (Note the box for adding reward sound.)
Easily share with other educators. If you use CM3 and want some cool activities, I have a lot to share! To do the same, select SHARE (to the right) and a code is generated so others can benefit from your creativity.
Make your own games for special events. Two really simple ones are bingo and tic-tac-toe. WIth tic-tac-toe, you can invite parents and friends to play a relatively quick game as your student selects items. This is one features a student’s favorite activities in 3rd grade.
Enjoy! And let me know if you want to share!
